No more homebound instruction

Today Sarah was "released" from the hospital homebound program. Why? Two reasons: first, she actually tried to go to school for a couple of days but couldn't last more than a couple of hours; second, they need a new doctor's note saying how long this is expected to go on to renew for the program. Well, duh, they tell us HSP lasts 4-6 weeks and it's already been 8! We have no idea how long it will go on!!! I'm thinking I'll just have to pull her out of school now until she's better and do homeschool or something online. This program seemed so great at first, but now I'm pretty annoyed with it. And HSP. Definitely annoyed with HSP. It's so hard to see her in so much pain every day.

Sunny's First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Sunny's first day of kindergarten! It's so weird to just have boys at home. I was up with Abel in the middle of the night, so Ben let me sleep in. He woke me to tell me that the girls had made it off to the bus. I was disappointed that I didn't get to say good-bye to Sunny on her first day, and I was a little mortified that I didn't get to do her hair. (Ben brushed it, at least.) I'm very grateful for the extra sleep, and I'm glad he took lots of pictures.

First Day of School!

Well, for Missy and Kandy anyway. Sunny has her assessment on Friday and starts kindergarten next week!

First Day of School

It's that time of year again for our girls--the first day of school! Kandy is starting 3rd grade, and Missy is in 1st grade! It sneaked up on us a bit this year between the vacation last week and no car to go run traditional school preparation errands. Luckily, they both have plenty of uniforms that still fit. I like uniforms for lots of things. I do miss the excitement of picking out the outfit for the first day. "Hmmm, which red shirt should I wear today?"

Kandy started 2nd Grade on August 4. Missy had her assessment last week and started kindergarten today! Wow, the house is quiet. Sunny hasn't complained yet, though, which is good.
